Description
The BD-2 Blues Driver has earned its spot on countless pedalboards by nailing that sweet spot between warm overdrive and biting distortion – the kind of tone chasers usually associate with a cranked, decades-old tube amp. Place it early in your signal chain and it responds directly to your picking dynamics and guitar volume, cleaning up or breaking apart the harder you dig in.
- Classic blues tone with built-in tube amp simulation
- Smoothly blends warm overdrive into crunchier distortion
- Highly touch-sensitive – reacts to playing dynamics and volume knob changes
- Runs on a 9V battery or standard AC adaptor
- Backed by BOSS’s five-year warranty
Under the hood: 1 M ohm input impedance, 1 k ohm output impedance, -20 dBu nominal input/output level, and an equivalent input noise level of -118 dBu (IHF-A, Typ.), drawing just 13 mA at DC 9V. A 9V dry battery is included alongside the standard INPUT/OUTPUT/AC adaptor jacks.
Compact and road-ready at 73 mm wide, 129 mm deep, 59 mm tall, and 400 g with battery installed – small enough to squeeze onto a crowded board without stealing real estate from your other drives.
This unit is open box, graded mint: it’s been opened and inspected but shows no signs of use, so you get full BOSS reliability at a lower price point.
