Description
The Voco-Loco bridges the gap between the mic stand and the pedalboard. Built around a clean, high-headroom preamp, it accepts either a dynamic mic or a phantom-powered condenser, so singers, saxophonists and trumpet players can finally borrow the tonal palette guitarists have used for decades.
A two-band shelving EQ shapes low-end warmth and top-end shimmer before the signal hits a transformer-isolated, hi-Z effects loop. Independent send and receive level controls keep noise down and headroom up when driving standard guitar pedals, while a return-path tone control tames any pedal that turns harsh or brittle. The blend knob lets you dial in exactly how much wet effect sits against your dry vocal or horn tone, rather than committing fully one way or the other.
Setup is straightforward: mic into the XLR input, pedals patched in via standard 1/4″ cables, output to the mixer. Preset your chain before the song starts, then kick in the loop with the right-hand footswitch when it’s time to solo or add texture. The second footswitch doubles as a mute for between-song silence or as a 100% wet switch for moments when you want nothing but processed signal.
Drop in a delay for ambience, a reverb for depth, some dirt for grit, or a wah for a wild solo break — the Voco-Loco puts guitar-pedal expression in the hands of anyone standing at a mic.
- Routes guitar effects pedals into a mic or instrument signal path
- Dual footswitches: one for the effects loop, one for mute or 100% wet
- Compatible with both dynamic and condenser microphones (phantom power onboard)
