Move it to the front of the chain instead, and Air lets you unlock the shimmer and pick detail hiding in your guitar’s pickups — essentially acting as a transparent front-end enhancer rather than a straightforward overdrive.
A 4-position preamp voicing selector, labeled Sun through Moon, gives you a spread of gain characters from glassy and articulate to darker and saturated, so you’re not locked into one flavor of breakup.
