The Sparkle Drive MOD takes the familiar 808-derived overdrive formula and gives you three extra flavors to dial in on the fly. Flip the MOD switch and you move between the stock circuit and three custom variations, letting you match your drive tone to the song instead of forcing every part through the same voicing.
VINTAGE mode holds onto that tube-like midrange push players lean on for blues rhythm and solo boosts. Mod 1 switches in a LEAD circuit built for single-note runs, with added gain, a thicker low end, and highs that stay smooth rather than brittle. Mod 2 is the RHYTHM setting — a mid-scooped voice that tightens up power chords and funk comping. Mod 3 goes HIGH GAIN, pairing an aggressive low end with crisp, articulate top for cutting through denser mixes.
What separates this from a straightforward overdrive is the CLEAN knob. It blends in a boosted direct signal underneath the drive, restoring pick attack and dynamic feel that overdrive circuits can otherwise flatten out — effectively letting you layer a clean tone and an overdriven tone at once.
Switching runs through a gold-contact relay for true bypass, so the Sparkle Drive MOD stays transparent on your board when it’s off.
