Description
Think of the Pickup Booster less as a volume nudge and more as a tone-shaping tool that sits invisibly in front of your amp until you need it. Built around a fully discrete, low-noise Class A circuit, it’s engineered to amplify what your guitar is already doing — adding punch and fatness without smearing pick attack or dulling top end. Front-of-chain or into a dirty amp, it stays transparent at low gain and gets muscular as you push it.
The standout feature is the Resonance Switch, which changes how the pedal loads your pickups rather than just boosting output. Single-coil players can flip to position “1” for a vintage humbucker growl suited to blues and classic rock, or position “2” for a high-output humbucker snarl that’s built for solos and slamming a tube amp into saturation. It’s an easy way to access humbucker character without swapping guitars.
This version refines the original design with a Gain control that now goes all the way down to true unity (0dB), and a discrete push-pull output stage for extra drive on tap — even with the gain backed off and a long cable run, the signal stays clean and articulate. Assembled in Santa Barbara, California alongside the Dirty Deed, Vapor Trail, and 805 Overdrive, it’s true-bypass so it disappears from your tone when off.
