Description
The Egnater Overdose packs two independent, 100% analog circuits into one true-bypass box: a saturating overdrive and a transparent boost, each with enough tone-shaping depth to earn its own spot on your board. Rather than a single generic drive voice, you get real control over where the grit and grind sit in your mix.
On the overdrive side, Gain and Volume push you from mild breakup into thick saturation, while the Tone knob and Tight switch handle the top and bottom ends. The standout feature is the Jones control — a frequency-select switch paired with a dedicated knob lets you zero in on either 400Hz or 1kHz and cut or boost that band, so you can carve out honky midrange or push your solos forward without fighting the amp’s EQ.
The Boost section is just as flexible, ranging from a clean, transparent volume push to a driven, colored punch. Drive tapers the gain going into the boost, Color reshapes the overall voice, and its own Tight switch tightens up low-end response independently from the overdrive section.
A Path switch lets you reorder the two circuits on the fly — run Overdrive into Boost, or flip it so Boost hits first, changing how the saturation reacts to gain staging ahead of it. Rear-panel patch jacks even let you loop another pedal in between the two sections for deeper tone-shaping within a single stompbox.
Bypass is handled by a true bypass relay for a clean, uncolored signal when off, and a multi-speed low-battery LED keeps you gigging without surprises. This listing includes two 6″ patch cables to get it wired into your chain right away.
