Description
The K2 chases the snarl and lift of Krank Amplifiers, packing that aggressive high-gain character into a compact box built for serious signal-chain work. It’s part of AMT’s upgraded Legend Amp Series II line, which builds on the original Legend pedals with pro-level routing and tone-shaping options.
- Three independent outputs — CAB SIM OUT (for direct recording), PREAMP OUT (feeding a power amp), and DRIVE OUT (running into a combo or head) — usable all at once for parallel recording, multi-amp setups, or splitting signal across effects chains.
- A CL LEVEL knob and CL BOOST switch act on the bypassed (clean) signal. Set as a subtle buffer to keep tone intact through long cable runs and crowded boards, or push the boost for up to +8dB, turning the K2 into a switchable two-channel preamp — clean on bypass, drive on engage.
- Full three-band EQ (HIGH, MIDDLE, BASS) plus OD GAIN and OD LEVEL for dialing distortion amount and output volume independently.
- LED status indicator shows when the drive circuit is active.
Controls at a glance: OD LEVEL sets output loudness, OD GAIN sets drive amount, HIGH/MIDDLE/BASS shape the tone stack, CL LEVEL adjusts buffered clean output (1 o’clock ≈ standard 10dB), and CL BOOST kicks the bypassed signal up to +8dB.
Runs on 9-12V DC, center-negative, via adapter or battery, with low power draw. Housed in a small 110 x 62 x 58 mm enclosure that won’t crowd your board.
Whether you need a studio-ready split for simultaneous DI and mic tracking or a compact way to run buffered clean and saturated drive tones from one box, the K2 handles it without extra gear.
