Blues players lean on it for that rotating-speaker pull, country pickers use it to season chicken-pickin’ runs, and metal players push the Color switch for a jet-plane swoosh under heavy riffing. On the board, the Small Stone works well early in the chain before gain or drive, though placing it after distortion opens up its own set of textures worth experimenting with.
