Description
Don’t let the smaller footprint fool you — the WHE401S Swollen Pickle Jumbo Fuzz MkIIS carries every ounce of the ferocity that made the original Swollen Pickle a fuzz-pedal legend. Turn the Sustain knob and you’ll travel from a gritty low-gain crunch clear up to a wall-shredding, amp-melting fuzz wall, all with the same control set as the full-sized MkII.
The Filter knob dials in Way Huge’s signature heavily bandpass-filtered voicing, packing in tons of girth and sizzle rather than a flat, one-dimensional buzz. Loudness is on tap to push well past unity gain, so this thing can genuinely overpower an amp if you let it. The Scoop control switches between the classic mid-scooped Swollen Pickle tone and a flatter frequency sweep, while Crunch shapes how compressed the fuzz feels under your pick.
Flip the pedal open and you’ll find two mini trim controls for fine-tuning the character further: Voice sets how aggressive the external Scoop knob behaves, running from a light dip to a heavy mid-cut, and Clip toggles between two different sets of clipping diodes to switch the fuzz between smooth and more opened-up sustain.
This makes the Swollen Pickle Jumbo Fuzz MkIIS a genuinely flexible fuzz for anyone building a serious pedalboard — equally at home as a subtle drive stacked ahead of other gain or as the main event for doom, stoner, and heavy rock tones.
