Description
The AMT WH-1 rethinks the wah circuit from the ground up by swapping the traditional potentiometer for an optical sensor. Instead of a control that wears out and gets scratchy over time, you get a frequency sweep governed by light — smoother long-term reliability with no loss of feel underfoot.
- 100% analog signal path built around an original JFET circuit for low noise and a wide, useable tuning window
- Three fixed bandpass ranges selectable via a 3-way switch: 0.2–1kHz, 0.3–1.5kHz, and 0.4–2kHz — dial in classic vocal wah or push toward brighter, more cutting sweeps
- True bypass keeps your tone untouched when the effect is off
- Engage/disengage by pressing the front of the rocking pedal
- Blue LEDs on both sides confirm engaged status at a glance from any angle on a dim stage
- Removable support feet make it easier to slot onto a crowded pedalboard
- Adjustable pedal tension via axial screw, so you can set the resistance to match your foot
- Steel body gives it real heft — stable under aggressive foot control, no wobble
Because it’s built on JFETs rather than a passive inductor circuit, the WH-1 stays articulate whether you’re running a clean signal or slamming it with heavy overdrive — the sweep doesn’t collapse or get muddy at high gain. Runs on a 9-12V DC adapter or a 9V battery, sips power, and at 110 x 62 x 58mm / 0.45kg (no battery), it’s compact enough to toss in a guitar case pocket. A durable, low-maintenance wah for players who want set-and-forget reliability on the board.
