Description
Built as a tribute to the long-gone DM-2, the BBE Two-Timer chases that same warm, tape-like echo trail rather than a pristine digital repeat. Where the Two-Timer breaks from vintage script is the mode footswitch: it toggles between Time 1 and Time 2, two completely independent delay settings living in one box. Dial in a tight slapback for rhythm parts on one side, then stomp over to a longer, spacey trail for solos or ambient swells — no re-tweaking knobs mid-song.
On a pedalboard, this sits comfortably in the time-based slot near the end of the chain, right where delay belongs, and its true hardwire bypass means it stays out of the way tonally when switched off. The delay range tops out at 330ms, so it’s built for slap, rhythmic bounce, and shorter ambient textures rather than huge cavernous washes — think Americana slapback and DM-2-style warmth rather than modern digital delay sprawl.
