BBE went back to a 1967 Class A design and rebuilt it around a re-engineered “Halo” inductor and a custom-tuned potentiometer, aiming squarely at the throaty, vocal sweep that made the wah a signature effect for players like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Every component is hand-wired, which is as much about tone as it is about tradition — point-to-point construction keeps the circuit close to its vintage roots.
Where the Wah Sixties departs from a straight reissue is the added “Harmony” control, letting you dial in the Q/peak response of the sweep rather than accepting a single fixed voice. Sit it early in the chain ahead of gain stages for that classic quacky snarl, or push it later for a smoother, more filtered character — the adjustable Q gives you room to shape where it sits against your drive and fuzz pedals.
True hard-wire bypass means the circuit steps out of the way completely when disengaged, so your tone stays uncolored until you stomp back in.
