Description
The original DM-2 earned cult status the moment BOSS discontinued it in 1984 — that warm, slightly gritty analog decay became a benchmark players kept chasing on the used market for decades. The Waza Craft DM-2W settles the hunt by rebuilding that exact circuit with 100% analog BBD (bucket brigade device) delay, then adding a second voice for players who need more range.
Flip the Mode switch to Standard and you get the faithful DM-2 character across a 20–300 ms delay window — that classic dark, degrading repeat trail that sits so naturally behind a lead line. Switch to Custom mode and the tone opens up into a cleaner, more transparent analog echo with delay times stretching out to 800 ms, useful for ambient textures, rhythmic patterns, and slower washes without leaving the all-analog signal path.
Practical routing options make this pedal easy to slot into a real board: the separate DIRECT OUT jack lets you split delay and dry signal to two amps or two channels, keeping your core tone untouched while the repeats run their own path. A RATE jack accepts an expression pedal for real-time control over delay time mid-song, and the REPEAT RATE, INTENSITY, and ECHO knobs give hands-on shaping of speed, feedback, and delay level.
