Description
The BOSS FV-500H picks up where the legendary FV-300 and FV-50 series left off, aimed squarely at players who treat their gear roughly and expect it to keep working. This is the mono, high-impedance, instrument-level version, built for guitarists running their volume pedal straight into amps and pedals without needing a stereo or low-Z signal path.
Underneath the boot, it’s a heavy-duty aluminum die-cast shell — the kind that shrugs off stage abuse, gig-bag jostling, and years of foot traffic. The action itself is tuned for ultra-smooth, controlled sweeps, letting you dial in gradual swells or quick cuts without any mechanical grab. A non-slip rubber tread keeps your foot planted through sweaty sets, and an internal torque adjustment lets you set the pedal resistance to match your playing style, from feather-light to firm.
Beyond straight volume duties, the FV-500H doubles as an expression pedal via its dedicated EXP output, opening it up to control parameters on expression-ready amps, effects, and synths. A tuner-out jack means you can leave your tuner permanently patched in without burning an extra loop on your board.
