Description
Pedalboards outgrow single signal paths fast, and the LS-2 exists to solve exactly that. Instead of another stompbox in the chain, it’s routing infrastructure: two independent loops (A and B) that you can run in series, in parallel, or split off entirely to feed two different amps. Six looping modes cover everything from simple bypass switching between rigs to running a dirty loop and a modulation loop side by side, each with its own level trim so nothing gets lost when you flip between them.
Because it’s built around SEND/RETURN pairs for both loops plus separate INPUT and OUTPUT jacks, the LS-2 also works as a master switcher for choosing between two amplifiers or cabinets, or for muting your rig cleanly between songs. Run it on a 9V battery or an AC adaptor, and it’ll turn around and share that power with several other Boss compact pedals downstairs on your board—one supply doing double duty as a hub.
Key points for planning your board:
- Two switchable loops with independent Level control and six routing modes
- 1 M ohm input impedance, 1 k ohm output impedance, recommends 10 k ohm or greater load
- Residual noise rated at –85 dBu or less (IHF-A, typical)
- Connectors: INPUT, OUTPUT, RETURN A/B, SEND A/B, DC In/Out
- Runs on a 9V battery (included) or optional PSA-series AC adaptor, drawing 25 mA
- Compact footprint: 73 mm W x 129 mm D x 59 mm H, 410 g with battery
- Backed by Boss’s 5-year warranty
For anyone juggling multiple drive channels, amps, or effect blocks, the LS-2 is the quiet traffic controller that keeps everything organized underfoot.
