The RV-6 is BOSS’s do-everything reverb stomp, built for players who want more than one flavor of ambience on their board. Under a single knob-driven layout sits eight distinct reverb algorithms, each voiced by BOSS engineers and pro players so the tone stays musical no matter where you set the dial.
- ROOM, HALL, PLATE, SPRING – the foundational textures, from tight and woody to airy and metallic-bright
- MODULATE – hall reverb laced with modulation for a swirling, dimensional wash
- DYNAMIC – senses your playing touch and adjusts effect depth automatically, so reverb never buries your attack
- SHIMMER – stacked octave-up overtones for ethereal, pad-like sustain
- +DELAY – reverb and delay working together for thick, trailing decay
Crucially, the RV-6 processes reverb digitally but keeps your unaffected guitar signal running through an analog path, so blending in ambience never dulls the character of your core tone. The I/O is genuinely gig-flexible: auto-switching jacks support mono, mono-to-stereo, or stereo-to-stereo setups, and feeding only the B input gives you a 100% wet output – handy for parallel effects loops and mixer-based rigs. An EXP jack lets you patch in an expression pedal to swell reverb level in real time.
Onboard controls are simple by design – E.Level, Tone, Time, and Mode knobs – but each mode hides a deep set of internally tuned parameters, so small knob moves translate into big, considered tonal shifts.
This unit is open box and graded mint, offering full-price performance at a lower cost. Runs on a 9V battery (included) or optional AC adaptor.
