Description
The Rubberneck earns its double-wide chassis by packing in two footswitches worth of performance tricks alongside genuine 100% analog delay. You get up to 1.5 seconds of warm, degrading repeats courtesy of a BBD circuit, with tap-tempo and three tap ratio subdivisions to lock the echoes to a song’s pulse. Concentric knob pairs keep the control set compact: one stacks Modulation Rate over Depth for chorus-like wobble on the trails, the other pairs delay Gain with Tone so you can dial repeats from clean and articulate to grimy and self-oscillating.
What sets this pedal apart on a board is the second footswitch. It’s user-assignable to momentary oscillation control or to ‘Rubbernecking’ — a dizzying, rubber-band pitch sweep on the repeats that’s genuinely unlike anything a digital delay fakes convincingly. Tiny clear knobs double as multicolor LED status lights for these extended functions, so you can see what mode you’re in at a glance on a dark stage.
Round out the feature set with a feedback loop send/return for stacking modulation or filtering right inside the delay path, a jack for the optional FS3X three-button remote for hands-free control of Rubbernecking, modulation, and tap tempo, plus true bypass and tails so your last repeat doesn’t get chopped off when you click out. The rugged all-metal chassis and 9VDC power requirement mean it slots straight into an existing analog-heavy board without fuss.
