Underneath, the DT runs true polyphonic pitch shifting, meaning chords and multi-note passages track cleanly rather than dissolving into digital mush — a real upgrade for players who want Whammy effects on more than single-note lines. Tuning shifts land in 7 half-step increments or a full octave, so you can rehearse a set in standard and dive into drop-D territory (or beyond) without retuning anything.
A momentary footswitch mode opens up expressive hammer-on and pull-off style shifts on the fly — tap it for a quick note bend, or hold it through a solo or bridge for sustained pitch movement. True bypass keeps your tone unaffected when the effect is off, and an FS3X input (footswitch sold separately) lets you flip between Whammy and Drop Tune modes hands-free.
