Description
Egnater built the Holydriver for guitarists chasing gain that stays articulate no matter how far down they tune. This is a 100% pure analog high-gain distortion circuit, voiced to cover ground from vintage-leaning crunch to modern metal saturation without turning to mud. On your board, it slots in as your primary gain stage or as a boost/thickener in front of an already-dirty amp — the Tight switch and passive High/Low EQ give you the tools to dial out flab at low tunings while keeping pick attack intact.
What sets the Holydriver apart is its footswitchable midrange section, running independently from the main tone controls. Depth and Level knobs let you carve or push the 400Hz range on the fly, so you can jump from a scooped rhythm tone to a mid-forward lead voice with one stomp — useful for players who need one pedal to cover two distinct roles in a set. A built-in noise gate with selectable Hard or Soft threshold keeps the signal clean between palm-muted riffs, doubling as an aggressive cutoff for tight, percussive rhythm work when you want it.
Signal integrity is handled by a True Bypass relay, and the whole thing lives inside a solid zinc chassis meant to survive touring and heavy pedalboard duty. A multi-speed low battery LED gives you a heads-up before power runs out mid-set.
