Description
Bassballs Nano packs EHX’s classic dual-filter envelope follower into a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure. Instead of one sweeping filter, this pedal runs two narrow tuned filters simultaneously, each responding to your pick or finger attack. The result is a vowel-like, almost vocal quality that sits well beyond standard auto-wah territory — dig in for a snappy “wow” or play softly for a subtler throat-clearing burble.
Because the filters track dynamics rather than a fixed LFO rate, the effect breathes with your playing. It’s especially suited to bass, where the twin-filter design gives funk, disco, and P-Funk-style lines that unmistakable talking-box character, but guitarists chasing synth-adjacent textures will find plenty to dig into as well.
Built around EHX’s analog circuitry with true bypass switching, the Nano keeps your dry tone intact when the effect is off and slots easily into any signal chain — most players run it early, right after the instrument or compressor, so the filters see a clean, consistent envelope to track.
- Analog circuit, true bypass, mono I/O
- Tough die-cast chassis in the compact Nano footprint (4.5 x 2.75 x 2.1 in)
- Runs on included 9V battery, or an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter (not included)
- Low current draw of 3mA
If your board needs a dynamic, expressive filter effect that reacts to touch rather than a fixed cycle, Bassballs Nano delivers EHX’s signature funk-filter sound in a space-saving package.
