Drop the Intelligent Harmony Machine after your tuner or drive stack and you’ve effectively added a second (or third) guitarist to your band, one who never misses a note. It reads what you play and instantly builds diatonic harmony lines around it, so multi-lead riffs and stacked solo parts that used to require overdubs now happen live, in sync, off a single guitar.
Two operating modes cover very different playing styles. Intelligent Harmony Mode locks to a key you set via the Key Selector and sharp/flat switches, spanning all 12 keys, and generates harmonies from single notes accordingly. Switch to Polyphonic Override Mode and it’ll track chords as well as single notes, with an 11-position Interval Selector determining the harmonic relationship applied to everything you feed it.
Momentary Mode puts the effect under footswitch control, engaging only while it’s held down, and you can choose between an instant pitch jump or a programmable glide time for the shift to sweep in and out. A Mix knob blends shifted and dry signal to taste, and the dedicated dry output gives you extra routing options for parallel chains or stereo rigs.
Tracking is where pitch shifters live or die, and this is built on EHX’s well-regarded tracking engine, so harmonized lines come out musical rather than glitchy, even as you move fast across the neck. It’s compact enough to earn a spot on a crowded board and ships with an EHX 9V power supply, though a 9V battery works too if you need to run it standalone.
