Description
The Nano Q-Tron shrinks Electro-Harmonix’s envelope-filter legacy—dating back to the 1970s—into a pedalboard-friendly footprint without losing the interactive, playing-dynamics-driven character that made the Q-Tron family famous. Rather than sweeping on a fixed cycle like a standard auto-wah, this filter tracks the volume envelope of your input signal to control the cutoff frequency in real time. Dig in harder and the sweep responds; play softer and it pulls back. That direct link between touch and tone is what gives the effect its lively, almost vocal quality, and it works equally well on guitar, bass, keys, or horns.
On the front panel, the Vol knob sets overall output level, while Drive dials in how sensitive the filter sweep is to your dynamics—push it for a more aggressive, dramatic response. The Q control shapes the peak bandwidth of the filter, letting you move between subtle coloration and an intense, resonant squelch. A three-way LP/BP/HP switch changes which frequency range gets emphasized: low pass for thick, bass-forward sweeps, band pass for classic vocal-like midrange funk, and high pass for glassy, cutting top-end movement.
- Vol knob controls overall output volume
- Drive control adjusts filter sweep sensitivity to playing dynamics
- Q control sets filter peak bandwidth for subtle-to-dramatic effect intensity
- LP/BP/HP switch selects low pass, band pass, or high pass filtering
- Compact, rugged, pedalboard-friendly enclosure
- True bypass switching keeps your signal clean when off
- Runs on included 9V battery or optional 9V power supply
Built for players who want expressive, envelope-based filtering without giving up board space, the Nano Q-Tron sits comfortably in a funk, jam, or experimental signal chain.
