Description

The EHX Stereo Pulsar earns its spot on a pedalboard by doing tremolo’s oldest trick with far more flexibility than a vintage amp ever offered. Feed it a mono signal and split it into true stereo outputs, letting the pulse breathe across two amps or a stereo rig rather than staying pinned to one side of the room.

Shaping the wave is where Pulsar gets interesting. The Wave Form switch toggles the underlying modulation between triangle and square, moving you from a smooth rise-and-fall throb to a choppier, more percussive chop. From there, the Wave Shape knob lets you skew that waveform continuously — push it toward negative or positive saw tooth curves, or dial in pulse width adjustments that tighten or loosen the rhythmic feel. Between those two controls, you can land on the honeyed, uneven pulse of a vintage tube amp’s built-in tremolo, or push into stuttering, synth-like patterns that no old-school circuit ever produced.

Housed in a die-cast chassis built to survive touring and heavy pedalboard traffic, the Stereo Pulsar is compact enough to slot in without stealing real estate from your other pedals. It ships with a 9V battery, so it’s ready to plug in and start pulsing the moment it lands on your board.

  • Stereo outputs for true left/right modulation
  • Wave Form switch: triangle to square modulation
  • Wave Shape control for saw tooth skew and pulse width adjustment
  • Tough, compact die-cast chassis
  • 9V battery included
