Description
Piezo and undersaddle pickups need help before they hit the rest of your chain, and that’s exactly what the AFX Pro EQ Mini is built for. Rather than acting as a generic graphic EQ bolted onto a pedal, it starts with a high-impedance instrument preamp derived from Fishman’s respected Platinum series — the same design philosophy that’s long been trusted for taming the quirks of acoustic pickups. Get that stage sorted first, and everything downstream on your board behaves.
From there, four dedicated bands — bass, mid, treble, and brilliance — give you real control over an acoustic instrument’s voice, letting you push air into a thin-sounding pickup or rein in a boxy mid-range without fighting the controls. A sweepable Low Cut rounds things out, giving you a movable filter point to dial out unwanted stage rumble and boom, or leave some low-end weight in for a fuller sound depending on the room and the instrument.
- High-impedance preamp voiced for acoustic pickups, based on Fishman’s Platinum series circuitry
- Four-band EQ: bass, mid, treble, brilliance
- Sweepable Low Cut for adjustable low-frequency control
- Compact mini format for space-conscious pedalboards
Placed early in an acoustic signal chain — ahead of your compressor, chorus, or reverb — the AFX Pro EQ Mini sets a clean, well-conditioned foundation so the rest of your effects have something solid to work with.
