Description
Resophonic guitars are notoriously tricky to amplify without sounding thin or harsh, and Fishman built this pedal specifically to solve that problem for players who need studio-caliber tone live. The PROAIPJD1 carries 16 custom Aura Images captured and voiced by Jerry Douglas himself, working alongside engineer Bil VornDick and resonator builder Paul Beard, so what comes out the other end is a mic’d-cone character rather than a generic acoustic simulation.
Under the hood you get 24-bit A/D/A conversion with 32-bit internal processing, keeping the signal clean as it’s reshaped. Dial in the blend between your pickup’s raw signal and the selected Aura Image, adjust overall volume, and flip through the 16 images to match different playing situations. A feedback-fighting phase switch helps tame stage rumble before it becomes a problem, and the bypass/mute foot switch lets you kill the signal silently for tuning or swaps. Input trim with a clip/low-battery indicator keeps you from clipping the front end and warns you before the battery dies mid-set.
Power it with a 9V battery for grab-and-go sessions or a standard adapter for pedalboard integration. This bundle includes two 6″ patch cables, useful for tying the pedal into a compact signal chain without extra cable clutter.
