Description
The GFI Systems Synesthesia is built for players who think of modulation as a playground, not a single knob-turn. Under the hood sit two independent processing engines that can run simultaneously, so you’re not choosing between chorus and phaser, tremolo and rotary — you’re blending them, stacking them, or routing them in series or parallel to build motion no single-effect pedal can touch. With 38 algorithms spanning vintage-inspired warmth to modern, deeply synthetic textures, plus three DSP routing schemes, the sonic combinations are effectively endless.
On the board, Synesthesia rewards experimentation. Put one engine ahead of your drive for subtle pitch-wobble breathing into the front end, then let the second engine handle a wide, glassy stereo-style spread further downstream — all without patching in a second pedal. Its 24-bit DAC/ADC conversion keeps the modulation clean and detailed rather than mushy, so even heavily layered patches stay articulate.
Under the hood:
- Input impedance: 1 MOhm
- Output impedance: 500 Ohm
- 24-bit DAC/ADC resolution
- Current draw: ~240 mA
- 1/4″ TS input/output jacks
- USB Type B connector
- Weight: 800 grams (1.6 lbs)
- Dimensions: 12 (L) x 12 (W) x 5.5 (H) cm
- Power: 9VDC / 240mA, negative-center plug (power supply not included)
Whether you’re after subtle, harmonically rich swirl or fully deranged dual-modulation chaos, Synesthesia gives pedalboard builders a single-slot solution that punches well above its footprint.
