The L.R. Baggs Align Active DI brings the company’s studio-caliber DI engineering to the pedalboard, giving acoustic players a direct box that doesn’t color or compress the signal. Its all-discrete circuit design keeps your instrument’s natural voice intact while offering generous headroom, so hot pickups and dynamic playing never choke the output. Whether it lives permanently on your board or gets patched in as a standalone DI, it’s engineered to disappear sonically and let your guitar’s true character come through the PA.
Beyond raw fidelity, this DI is loaded with stage-ready controls. A pad lets you trim or boost the XLR output to match house PA requirements, while a ground lift switch knocks out troublesome ground-loop hum. Phase inversion gives you another tool for taming feedback and dialing in the cleanest tone at volume, and the Thru/Out switch adds flexibility for how you route your signal downstream. A dedicated mute footswitch makes silent instrument swaps or set breaks effortless, no scrambling for a volume knob mid-show.
