Description
Most reverbs are voiced for electric guitar and just get tolerated on acoustic rigs. The L.R. Baggs Align Series Reverb takes the opposite approach — it was designed from scratch around the way acoustic instruments actually behave, preserving body and warmth instead of smearing them out.
The key is the side-chain architecture: your dry signal runs untouched while the reverb blends in alongside it, so even at higher wet levels the pedal never buries your instrument’s natural voice. L.R. Baggs shaped the reverb tail itself with analog EQ tuned to acoustic frequencies, and the Tone control lets you sweep from dark and muted to open and airy, giving you real flexibility without ever sounding artificial.
On a pedalboard built around an acoustic-electric setup, this sits comfortably near the end of the chain, after preamp or EQ shaping, where it can add space and depth without fighting your DI signal’s clarity.
