Voiceprint DI takes a different approach to acoustic amplification: instead of just shaping an EQ curve, it captures the real acoustic fingerprint of your guitar and puts it to work at the front of your signal chain. Pair the pedal with the AcousticLive app (iPhone 6 or later) and, working with impulse-response tech co-developed by Universal Audio’s Dr. Jonathan Abel, it listens to your instrument’s actual timbre and touch response as you tap the bridge and strum a few chords. That data becomes a Voiceprint — a custom preset that replaces your raw pickup signal with something far closer to how your guitar actually sounds unplugged.
For pedalboard builders, this slots in as a DI/preamp stage at the front end, feeding both XLR to the board and 1/4″ onward through your chain via the series FX loop. On the fly, the Voice control blends the captured Voiceprint with your pickup signal to taste, while Anti•fb loads a feedback profile unique to your instrument’s problem resonances (short-press it for phase inversion). The Pad switch handles hot pickups with 0, -3, -6, or -9dB of attenuation, and a ground lift kills hum from noisy stages.
