Description
The Simble Overdrive MKII carries forward what made the original a pedalboard staple: an overdrive circuit that stays out of the way of your instrument’s core character. Rather than stamping its own flavor onto your signal, it amplifies and gently pushes what’s already there—your guitar, your pickups, your playing dynamics all come through intact.
- Functions as a clean boost, an “on the edge” crunch pedal, or a full singing overdrive depending on how you set the gain
- Wide dynamic range responds to pick attack and volume changes from the guitar
- Organic, transparent voicing that preserves your instrument’s natural tone rather than coloring over it
For the MKII revision, Mad Professor went back to original designer Lassi Ukkonen to refine the circuit further. The result is a more open-sounding pedal with expanded headroom and a brighter contour response, making it easier to dial in across a wider variety of guitars and amp setups than the original Simble.
On a pedalboard, this is the kind of overdrive that earns a permanent spot near the front of the chain—always on or switched in for a solo, it does its job without announcing itself. If you’re after breakup that sounds like your amp working harder rather than a pedal taking over, the Simble MKII delivers that in a compact, reliable package built for players who value tone above gimmicks.
