Description
The Sunset gives bass players a way out of hauling an amp: a fully analog, zero-latency amplifier simulator that sits at the end of your board and feeds the PA or your interface directly. Nothing digital, nothing to wait for — just tone, shaped the way a real bass rig would shape it.
- Bass and Treble controls for broad tonal shaping
- Active parametric midrange with adjustable level and frequency sweep, offering +/-12dB of range
- Active Presence control for pushing into extreme highs
- Active Resonance control for digging into extreme lows
- Gain control that adds tube-style compression and harmonic saturation as you dig in harder
- Master volume for overall output level
- Simultaneous 1/4″ and XLR outputs
- High-impedance input suited to both passive and active pickups
- Full bypass
- Runs on 9VDC, 200mA
Set the Gain low for a cleaner, tighter response, or drive it harder for the kind of compressed, harmonically rich push you’d expect from a tube amp working under load. Between the parametric mids, Presence, and Resonance, there’s enough EQ range here to dial in anything from a scooped modern slap tone to a warm, rounded vintage voice — all without touching an actual amplifier.
Built for the front of a pedalboard’s signal chain as the final stage before the PA, the Sunset is meant to be the only piece of amp-modeling gear you need: everything essential is on the panel, nothing extraneous is included.
