Description
Every modern rig needs a reliable way to sweep parameters in real time, and the Mission Engineering EP-1 delivers that control without fuss. Machined from durable metal, this single-channel expression pedal is built to survive life on a busy pedalboard while giving you precise, repeatable movement underfoot.
Inside sits a sealed 10K linear potentiometer, purpose-designed by Mission for smooth, consistent sweeps across the pedal’s full travel. Output runs through a single 1/4″ TRS jack, so connecting to your amp, effects unit, or MIDI controller is as simple as running one TRS cable. The EP-1 drops into the same role as a Roland EV-5, M-Audio EXP, or Boss FV500, making it an easy swap or upgrade if you’re already using one of those pedals.
For players who prefer a wah-style feel, the EP-1 can be fitted with an optional spring load that snaps the pedal back to heel-down position automatically. This setup also pairs well with auto on/off detection systems like the Fractal Audio Axe-Fx auto-engage feature, letting the pedal double as a controller that only engages when you actually rock it forward.
Specs at a glance:
- Dimensions: 9″ x 4″ x 3″
- Weight: 3.2 lb
- Potentiometer: 10K Ohm linear, TRS tip to wiper
Whether you’re sweeping a wah, controlling volume, or automating a parameter on a digital modeler, the EP-1 gives you a solid, no-nonsense way to do it.
