Description
The EP1-KP is Mission Engineering’s purpose-built expression controller for the Kemper Profiler and Remote, designed around a linear potentiometer calibrated precisely to Kemper’s specifications. That matching means the sweep feels natural and predictable underfoot, whether you’re rolling in a wah curve, riding a volume swell, or automating any parameter you’ve assigned to expression on the Profiler.
Beyond the sweep itself, a toe switch is built into the housing, letting you tap effects on and off without dedicating a separate footswitch on your board — handy for players trying to keep their pedal real estate lean. The switch output can simply be left unplugged if you don’t need that function.
Wiring is straightforward: one TRS cable handles the expression signal, one TS cable handles the toe switch. It works across the full Kemper lineup — rack, head, and the Remote floor controller — so it slots into whatever configuration you’re already running.
It’s also not locked to Kemper gear exclusively. The EP1-KP plays nicely with other devices that accept a switching expression pedal with a momentary TS switch, including current FAMC Liquid Foot MIDI controllers and the ISP Theta Pro DSP preamp, giving it a second life if your rig changes down the road.
