Description
The Rewah Pro rethinks the classic wah circuit from the ground up. At its heart sits a custom-wound inductor matched in inductance and resistance to the coveted vintage “halo” coils that collectors chase, but built to the tolerances found in high-end audio amplifiers rather than vintage stompboxes.
That inductor core is roughly double the size of a standard wah coil, and paired with a longer sweep travel it gives the Rewah Pro noticeably extended range and firmer bass response with far less saturation than a typical wah. That makes it a strong fit for down-tuned rigs, six and seven string guitars, and low-string-heavy playing — while it still covers convincing vintage wah territory when you want it.
What sets this pedal apart from a fixed-voice wah is the internal switch block. Four small switches let you “Rewah” the circuit on the fly, either alone or stacked together, for sixteen distinct tonal combinations:
- Sw1 — adds gain for a touch of output-transistor overdrive
- Sw2 — drops the filter’s center frequency slightly and narrows bandwidth for a nasal wah tone
- Sw3 — pulls the filter band significantly lower for a bass-forward wah
- Sw4 — trims gain and widens bandwidth for a cleaner, more open response
This Gloss Purple finish gives the Rewah Pro a metallic candy purple shell topped with an aluminum Rewah badge — a striking centerpiece for any board that also happens to be endlessly tunable underneath the hood.
