Description
The SP-1 is the pedal that started Mission Engineering’s reputation for rock-solid, road-ready controllers, and it remains a mainstay on boards built around digital rigs. Instead of forcing you to choose between an expression pedal and a footswitch, the SP-1 gives you both from a single housing: one output jack feeds your expression parameter (wah, volume, vibrato depth, whammy — whatever your processor lets you assign), while a second jack drives a TRS latching toe switch for jumping between presets or toggling effects on and off without breaking your playing stance.
Because it speaks standard TRS language, the SP-1 slots directly into a wide range of modern rigs, including Fractal Audio’s Axe-Fx, MFC-101, AX-8, and FX-8, as well as the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro. If your controller supports an expression input and a switch input, chances are this pedal talks to it.
Under the hood is a 10K Ohm linear potentiometer wired tip-to-wiper, delivering the smooth, predictable sweep that heel-to-toe players expect for real-time control over wah, filter, or volume-style effects — no dead spots, no jumpy response.
- Two independent output jacks: one for expression, one for the TRS latching toe switch
- 10K Ohm linear potentiometer, TRS tip-to-wiper wiring
- Pedal dimensions: 9″ x 4″ x 3″; shipping dimensions approx. 10″ x 4″ x 4″
- Weight: 3.2 lb (listed); approx. 4 lb as shipped
- Compatible with Fractal Audio Axe-Fx, MFC-101, AX-8, FX-8, and Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro
Finished in green, it’s built to earn its spot on a working board.
