Description
The SP-1 is the pedal that started Mission Engineering, and it’s stuck around on boards for a reason: it does two jobs from one footprint. Dedicated output jacks feed the expression signal and the toe switch separately, so you can assign a wah, vibrato, or pitch effect to the rocker while using the switch to engage or bypass it — all without lifting your foot.
Because it speaks TRS, the SP-1 slots cleanly into rigs built around Fractal Audio gear (Axe-Fx, MFC-101, AX-8, FX-8) and Voodoo Lab’s Ground Control Pro, making it a go-to choice for players running digital modelers and MIDI-based control setups. Drop it at the front of your chain for wah duties, or later on for modulation and pitch-shift sweeps — the dual-jack design gives you the routing flexibility to place it wherever your signal chain needs it.
- Two output jacks: one for expression, one for the toe switch
- 10K Ohm Linear potentiometer, TRS tip-to-wiper wiring
- Latching TRS toe switch
- Dimensions: 9″ x 4″ x 3″ (listed weight 3.2 lb; alternate spec sheet lists 10 x 4 x 4 in, 4 lb)
Built to take the abuse of a working pedalboard, the SP-1 is a straightforward, dependable way to add expressive control to any digital effects or MIDI-driven setup.
