Description
Volume pedals have a reputation for thinning out your signal, but the Mission VM-1 was built specifically to avoid that trap. It’s point-to-point hand wired and runs fully passive — no battery, no external power, no extra circuitry standing between your guitar and your amp.
Most tone suck comes from splitting your signal to feed a tuner output. That split adds resistance and capacitance to the chain, creating an unwanted low-pass filter that eats your highs before they ever reach your amp. The VM-1 sidesteps this entirely by keeping the tuner output isolated behind a dedicated mute switch, rather than running it alongside your main signal at all times.
Step on the front of the pedal to engage mute mode. This routes signal to the tuner out and cuts the main output, giving you silent tuning and quiet, pop-free guitar swaps on stage or in the studio. Keep in mind the tuner out only works while mute mode is active — if you’d rather have a tuner output live all the time, Mission’s active VM-PRO volume pedal is the better fit.
Inside, a sealed potentiometer handles the volume sweep with a rated lifespan north of one million operations, so there’s nothing to lubricate, clean, or replace down the line.
