Description
The original Carbon Copy earned its spot on countless boards for its warm, dark bucket-brigade repeats — the Deluxe takes that same analog heart and hands you the control surface players have been asking for. Delay time now stretches to a full 1.2 seconds, and you’re no longer stuck twisting a knob to find your tempo: a tap footswitch with selectable tap divisions locks your repeats to the groove instantly, whether you’re tracking studio parts or chasing a click live.
Voice-wise, you get both flavors of Carbon Copy in one enclosure. Flip the switch to Bright for repeats with extra top-end clarity that cut through a dense mix, or leave it in the standard voicing for that classic murky, saturated analog decay that sits behind the dry signal instead of on top of it. The Mod controls — depth and rate for the chorus-like modulation on the repeats — have been pulled out of the internal cavity and placed right on the top panel, so you can dial in subtle wobble or deep pitch-warble without a screwdriver.
Because this is built for real signal chains, not just bedroom noodling, the Deluxe adds an expression pedal jack for real-time control over delay time or mix on the fly, plus programmable presets so you can store your go-to settings and recall them mid-set. Place it after your drive and modulation pedals for the most natural-sounding trails, or push it toward the front of a wet/dry rig if you’re running a more elaborate setup.
