Description
The MXR Micro Amp is about as simple as pedals get, and that’s precisely the point. One knob, one footswitch, and up to a claimed 25dB of clean gain on tap — no tone-shaping, no coloration, just raw volume for whatever job you throw at it. Drop it at the front of your board to even out the output gap between a hot humbucker guitar and a quieter single-coil setup, kick it in mid-solo for a lead boost that cuts through the mix, or park it at the end of a long chain to compensate for signal loss across a pedalboard full of true-bypass units and patch cables.
Because it’s transparent by design, the Micro Amp doesn’t fight with whatever’s already dialed into your amp — it just makes it louder and, if you’re driving a tube amp into saturation, meaner. That makes it equally useful as a subtle utility boost or an always-on gain stage feeding a dirtier amp channel.
Runs on a single 9V battery or the Dunlop ECB-003 adapter (sold separately). Footswitch toggles the effect on and off with a red LED indicator, and the Gain knob sets your total boosted output level.
