Description
The ODR-1 earned its reputation quietly, in the hands of Nashville session players and guitarists who just needed their amp to sound like more of itself, only better. Jerry Donahue of the Hellecasters called it the best overdrive on the market, and plenty of Telecaster players since have agreed. Rather than layering on a new tone, this pedal amplifies the character already in your rig, adding tube-amp warmth, a rounded midrange, and sustain that sings without turning to mush.
Drop it in front of a clean amp for that classic ‘amp on the edge of breakup’ feel, or stack it in front of a dirtier tone to thicken things up without losing note definition. The Spectrum control lets you shape where the overdrive sits in the frequency range, so you can dial in anything from a glassy, transparent boost to a thick, saturated crunch depending on your guitar and amp pairing.
