Description
The Infinity 2 packs Pigtronix’s acclaimed looping engine into a compact box built around two independent stereo loops rather than one. Think Verse/Chorus songwriting: record a foundation, jump to a second loop for a contrasting section, then bounce back and forth as the song demands — all in real time, all without stopping the music.
What makes this workflow click is timing logic. Nearly every command — switching loops, cueing an overdub, stopping playback — waits for the loop boundary to execute, so you never have to nail a footswitch hit to the millisecond. Tell it what to do and it happens on cue. Instant Stop and Fade Out are the exceptions, firing the moment you press them for those percussive or ambient endings.
A secondary push-button above the left footswitch unlocks Stop, Stutter, and Octave Shift performance tricks, or you can reassign that switch to Undo/Redo for pulling back (and restoring) overdubs on demand. A TRS remote jack extends these functions to an external switch for hands-free control on a crowded board.
The Decay knob governs how overdubs behave over time: fully clockwise stacks layers at full volume indefinitely, fully counter-clockwise limits each new layer to a single pass before it fades, and anywhere in between yields shifting, evolving textures you can snap back from instantly with Undo.
Inputs accept mono or stereo instrument and line-level signals with generous headroom, while dual outputs can run as a mixed stereo pair (loop plus pass-through) or split into discrete Wet/Dry paths for separate amp or mixer routing.
