Description
The SB-15 Tailbone earns its spot at the front of the pedalboard by solving a problem most guitarists don’t notice until it’s gone: high-impedance signal loss. Plug straight in, and Radial’s Dragster load correction circuit shapes the input to feel and sound like a direct amp connection — no thin, brittle top end, no lost low-mid warmth.
From there, the signal passes through a 100% discrete Class-A buffer, the same circuit found in Radial’s JD7 and trusted by players like Steve Vai and John Petrucci. Because it skips ICs and the phase-cancelling feedback that comes with them, the tone stays organic rather than sterile. Once buffered, the output impedance drops low enough to shrug off hum, buzz, and RF interference even when driving a chain of pedals across 15 meters (50 feet) of cable — handy for elaborate boards or long amp runs.
- 100% discrete Class-A buffer circuit
- Dragster load correction for natural feel and tone
- Drives pedals over 15 meters (50′) without added noise
- Combines two 9V supplies into 15VDC output
There’s a second trick up its sleeve: if your board carries a Tonebone pedal that needs 15V, the Tailbone can merge two 9V taps from your existing power supply and output correctly polarized 15VDC — no separate power brick required. Note that a standard Boss-style 9V supply is needed to run the unit itself (not included).
Small footprint, big signal integrity — the SB-15 is the kind of unit that disappears into your board while quietly making everything else sound better.
