Description
The G4 takes Revv’s Red Channel voicing from the Generator 120 and 100 heads and packs it into a pedal that behaves like a cranked amp channel rather than a typical dirt box. Where the G3 dug into surgical, mid-forward territory with its Purple Channel design, the G4 was built as its counterpart — wider, thicker, and geared toward classic saturated tones that still clean up with pick dynamics and volume changes from the guitar.
Dialing it in is fast: a 3-band EQ, three selectable aggression modes, plus dedicated gain and volume controls let you move from vintage crunch to modern high-gain sustain without hunting through menus or fighting counterintuitive controls. It’s equally comfortable driving a tube amp’s clean channel, sitting in an all-digital chain, or bridging a hybrid setup.
Guitarists across metal, rock, prog, blues, fusion, country, punk, and pop have leaned on this voicing on stage and in the studio, and the G4 puts that same amp-like thickness on your board — either as a standalone gain source or stacked alongside a G3 for a two-channel amp rig in pedal form.
