Description
Built with working guitarist Josh Smith and designer Tim Jauernig, the Dual Trem strips tremolo back to what actually matters on a gig: two trem circuits you can toggle between on the fly. Rockett kept the control set lean and intuitive, chasing the pulsing, throbbing amplitude wobble of vintage blackface-style amps rather than piling on modulation options nobody uses.
The real trick is running two independent trem voices side by side. Set one fast and one slow, or keep both similar but push the intensity harder on one, then kick between them mid-song for a lift into the bridge or a dip into a quiet verse. It’s less a two-channel gimmick and more a compositional tool — the kind of thing that changes how you phrase a part rather than just coloring it.
On the board, it earns its spot after drive and before time-based effects, delivering that classic pulsing throb without smearing your gain stage or muddying downstream delay and reverb trails. Simple to set, quick to switch, and genuinely inspiring to play through — this is a trem pedal built by a player, for players.
