The Tone Druid is Union Tube & Transistor’s first pedal built to stand on its own, but its DNA traces straight back to their MORE. Picture that same circuit slamming into a 12AX7 tube, then run through a master volume stage so you can rein in the output while keeping the harmonic character intact. It’s the MORE experience, tamed for practical use on a live board.
Place it early in the chain for a transparent push into a clean amp, or stack it with fuzz and dirt pedals downstream to shape a layered gain structure. Clean boost tops out at +10dB, which is plenty for waking up a tube amp’s front end, but dial in more gain and the pedal opens up into a much louder, thicker saturation that rewards guitarists chasing tube-amp breakup at pedal-level convenience.
Because the master volume sits after the gain circuit, you get real control over how hot the signal hits your amp regardless of how much drive you’re running — useful for solo boosts, rhythm tones, or anywhere you need the Tone Druid’s character without blowing out the mix.
