Ground loops and hum aren’t fixed by throwing more amps at the problem—they’re fixed by isolation. The Pedal Power 2 Plus gives every single one of its eight outputs its own isolated winding on a custom-built toroidal transformer, so pedals stop bleeding noise into each other and your board stays dead silent no matter how many devices you’re running.
Rather than lean on a compact switching supply (fine for a phone charger, less fine for a signal path), Voodoo Lab built this unit around an audiophile-grade linear supply. The result is steady, transient-free power that won’t introduce the hash a lot of switch-mode bricks bring with them.
The output configuration is genuinely flexible:
- Four outputs at 100mA, switchable between 9V and 12V for standard pedals or Boss ACA-spec units
- Two high-current 250mA outputs, switchable between regulated and unregulated, for power-hungry gear like the Boss DD-20 or Line 6 DL4
- Two 100mA outputs with a switchable SAG control that droops voltage from roughly 4V to 9V—great for coaxing sag-and-bloom behavior out of transistor fuzz, octavia, and distortion circuits (leave SAG off for digital delays, chorus, and reverb)
Because every output is fully isolated, you can also combine pairs of them for higher voltages using custom cabling—18V for pedals like the MXR Flanger, or 24V (via the ACA-mode outputs) for Electro-Harmonix units such as the Deluxe Memory Man.
Included in the box: six 5.5×2.1mm right-angle barrel cables, two 5.5×2.1mm straight barrel cables, one 5.5×2.5mm “red” barrel cable for Line 6 gear, one 3.5mm mini plug for vintage MXR/EHX pedals, and a 9V battery snap for pedals without a jack.
