Description
Shrunk down without losing an ounce of character, the Way Huge Smalls Aqua-Puss packs the same analog BBD delay circuit as its full-size sibling into a footprint that plays nice with crowded pedalboards. Its voice leans bright and jangly rather than dark or murky, making it a natural for slap-back textures that echo classic rockabilly and country tones, or for simply adding a touch of dimension behind your dry signal.
Delay time ranges from 20ms to 300ms, covering everything from tight doubling to a more pronounced repeat. The Feedback knob controls how long and how intensely those repeats decay — push it hard enough and the circuit tips into self-oscillating chaos, spiraling off into warbly, otherworldly territory. Dial back the Blend control for a subtle thickening effect, or push it toward wet for a fully drenched, cascading repeat.
Placement-wise, this sits comfortably late in a signal chain, after gain and modulation, where its analog character can shape the tail end of your tone without stepping on dirt or drive. True hard-wire bypass keeps your signal path clean and uncolored when the effect is off, so it won’t rob your tone even when it’s not engaged.
