Description
Way Huge shrank the footprint without shrinking the fuzz. The Smalls Swollen Pickle Jumbo Fuzz packs the same thick, saturated character that made the original a pedalboard staple into a compact enclosure built for boards where real estate is tight and every inch matters.
Three core controls—Loudness, Sustain, and Filter—give you command over output level, gain, and tonal shape, letting you move from a slightly gritty edge of breakup to a wall of dense, gnarly fuzz. Where this version earns its keep is in the two toggle switches tucked alongside those knobs. The Scoop switch pulls out the midrange for a hollowed, huge-sounding low end that suits power chords and thick riffing. The Crunch switch dials the compression character up or down, tightening or loosening how the fuzz responds to your pick attack. Flip both switches down and you’re back to the familiar three-knob voice the Swollen Pickle built its reputation on.
Placed early in the chain, ahead of drives or into a clean amp, it fattens single notes and chords alike with a smooth, rounded low end rather than a harsh, brittle buzz. True hard-wire bypass keeps your tone unaffected when the pedal’s off, and its low current draw makes it easy to run off a shared power supply on a crowded board.
