Small footprint, big pedigree: the Xotic SP Compressor draws on the same OTA (operational transconductance amplifier) design that guitarists have chased for decades in the original Ross Compressor. Xotic reworked that circuit into a nano-sized box that still delivers the smooth, musical squeeze players love, while opening it up to cover far more ground — dial in something subtle and transparent for clean rhythm work, push into vintage-voiced funk compression, or drive it harder for a modern, sustain-heavy lead tone.
A dry blend knob lets you fold in your uncompressed signal to preserve pick attack and note definition, so compression adds density without smearing your dynamics. Need more than squash? The SP adds up to +15dB of clean boost on tap, useful for solos or just pushing a dirty pedal harder downstream. An internal dip switch gives you control over attack response, letting you tailor how quickly the compressor kicks in without cluttering the top of the enclosure with extra knobs.
Built true bypass and sized to disappear on a crowded board, this compressor earns its spot early in the chain — right after your guitar, ahead of overdrives and modulation — where it can even out your input signal before everything downstream reacts to it. This bundle includes two 6″ patch cables so you can wire it straight into your existing pedal chain.
