Description
The V100 drops a full head’s worth of British chime into a footprint small enough for the last slot on your board. Run it straight into a 4-ohm cab and it behaves as a genuine 100-Watt amplifier, delivering that glassy, jangly top end and slightly compressed midrange that made Vox-voiced circuits a studio and stage staple. Roll back the gain and you get shimmering clean headroom; push it and the amp breaks up with a chiming, harmonic overdrive rather than mush.
Beyond amp duty, the V100 doubles as a flexible DI/preamp box for silent stages, IEM rigs, or recording direct. An XLR output with its own volume control feeds the desk independently of your cab volume, and a Direct/CabSim switch lets you send either a raw signal or a cabinet-simulated one to front-of-house or your interface.
The standout feature is VARICAB, a true analog high-pass filter built into the preamp’s feedback loop — not a digital IR trick. It reshapes frequency response, punch, and compression in real time, letting you dial the amp’s low-end behavior and feel to match any cab or mix without ever leaving the analog domain.
- 100W output at 4 Ohms — usable as a standalone power amp into a cab
- XLR DI output with independent volume control
- Direct/CabSim output switch for use with IRs
- VARICAB: 100% analog HP simulator affecting frequency, response, compression and punch
- Part of a 4-amp series alongside Fender Blackface, Marshall Plexi, and Hiwatt voicings
Built for players who want real amp behavior on a pedalboard, not a digital approximation.
